Get The Nancy Meyers Look: A Peek Inside The Westwood Home at Menangle Park Display Village

Getting The Mood Right

When designing the interior of your dream home, mood boards are a fantastic tool to get inspired and organize your vision. Take a look at the board we’ve designed above, full of ideas, textures, colors, and styles all put in one place, creating a clear picture of what you want your space to look and feel like. Whether you’ve ‘got an app for that’ or you want to break out the arts and crafts box, building a mood board acts as a creative guide, helping you mix and match elements until you find the style that feels uniquely yours.

At Masterton Homes, we’ve embraced this approach in crafting The Westwood, our latest display home located in the Menangle Park Display Village. Inspired by the warm, inviting aesthetics often seen in Nancy Meyers’ films, The Westwood is a showcase of how thoughtfully curated elements can create a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere. Imagine soft, neutral palettes paired with natural textures like wood and linen, all concepts brought to life through the mood board process. Why not start yours today and begin creating a space that resonates with you?

The Nancy Meyers Look: Timeless, Cosy, and Elegant

Nancy Meyers’ interiors give understated luxury. They’re spaces that invite you to sink into a plush sofa, sip a cup of tea, and stay a while. Achieving this look in your own home is easier than you might think. Here are the key elements you might want to add to your mood board:

• Soft, Neutral Palettes: Whites, creams, and soft blues dominate, creating an airy and elegant foundation.
• Functional Yet Stylish Kitchens: Think wide countertops, farmhouse sinks, and spacious islands perfect for entertaining.
• Layered Textures: Linen upholstery, warm wood tones, marble surfaces, and woven accents add depth and warmth.
• Timeless Furniture: Classic shapes with contemporary touches strike the perfect balance between elegance and comfort.
• A Lived-In Feel: These spaces are designed to be lived in, not just admired from afar. Personal touches like fresh flowers, stacked books, and cosy throws invite you to relax into your space.
