Utility Service Inclusions

- Water service to be connected to the nearest available point of connection from existing service and includes a private meter located next to the granny flat. Service connection length of 8 meters allowed as standard.
- Sewer service to be connected to the nearest available point of connection from the existing sewer service. Service connection length of 8 meters allowed as standard.
- Stormwater from rainwater tank over flow to be connected to existing house stormwater system. Service connection length of 8 meters allowed as standard. No allowance for additional council requirements or Hydraulic plans and requirements.
- Electrical connection to within 8 meters of proposed granny flat as standard. It is the owner’s responsibility to provide adequate power supply for granny flat consumption (Approx. 35 to 55 amps). No Allowance has been made for upgrade of power supply to existing dwelling or upgrade to existing meter board for future separate metering.
- No allowance for telephone connection. Research shows that every NBN connection has an allowance of 2 voice portals and 4 data portals. It is advised that the owner makes their own arrangements through a Retail Service Provider (RSP) for a separate NBN connection to the granny flat or a private electrician to extend the main house NBN service to the granny flat. Either way will provide separate service to the dwellings.
- No allowance for any Gas plumbing or connection.
