Harmony takes home reader’s choice award

Masterton’s Harmony home struck a chord with the public, taking out the 2015 The Daily Telegraph Home Magazine Readers’ Choice Award at the HIA CSR NSW Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom award ceremony.

‘Winning the Reader’s Choice award is the greatest honour because it means we’ve really struck a chord with the Australian public and at the end of the day, they’re always going to be our most important audience,’ said Masterton Homes CEO, David Masterton. ‘The win was made even more special because of the tough competition we were up against. All the home designs in the category were exceptional, showcasing the ingenuity and talent of the NSW building industry. ’

In tune with all tastes and lifestyles

From the moment you open the front door, the Harmony delights and entices with its clean, classic lines and warm homey atmosphere. In fact every aspect of this home fits together in perfect harmony.

What HIA said

‘This award has always been an integral part of the event [HIA CSR NSW Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom award], offering Home magazine readers a chance to vote for their favourite design from this year’s selection of display builders, as chosen by the HIA judges. Once again, the focus is on family-friendly floorplans with designs emphasising practicality and safety for families scoring well.’

HIA Acting Executive Director – NSW, Sulfi Soeleiman, said the awards were a tremendous display of the housing industry’s capacity and innovation. He said;

‘HIA is committed to recognising the outstanding achievements of our members. It is encouraging to see that support and commitment to excellence for these awards has yet again been remarkable. Each year a high calibre of entries is presented, reflecting the exceptional standard HIA members place on workmanship, innovation and design thereby raising the bar and making the judging all the more difficult.’

An ingenious floor plan

In tune with all tastes and lifestyles, the Harmony’s versatile floor plan allows for multiple room usages. The single storey home on display at Willowdale has four bedrooms, three with built in wardrobes while the master bedroom is located at the front for privacy with walk in robes and an ensuite.

The well-appointed kitchen comes complete with a walk in pantry and a breakfast bench where family can come together. The open plan dining and family room flow out onto a delightful alfresco area, allowing for an easy transition from indoor to outdoor living.

The home is perfect for entertaining as well as for enjoying personal time in individualised private spaces. With seven floorplan options including the addition of a fifth bedroom, a study, media space, a breakout area and the choice of having the master bedroom being located at the rear of the home—the possibilities are endless.
